In the mall

Raining day on New Year's Eve. This little one went to mall.
If Chen can cook, so can you.
Why don't they make counter at this height anymore?
Wait in line while I get my cup of water.
How many people does it take to put Nathan on the stroller?

Mendocino trip

We took a 3 day trip to Mendocino, a beautiful little coastal town 4 hour drive from home. It was raining most of the time, so we found ourselves moving from one eating place to another. Food was good. We also catched some funny faces.
Face #1, at the cabin we stayed.
Face #2, Forg bragg, infront of the steam engine.
Face #3
And many more faces, in 955 restaurant
The beautiful Mendocino coast, view from main street.

Diary of 12/24, Christmas eve

Dear Diary
Finally daddy and mommy has time to take me out for some Christmas shopping -- on Christmas eve. I wonder what Santa's gonna give me this year, I've been a very good baby/boy this year.
As usual, the day started with lunch. Daddy said I am a little gentleman -- before I started putting my fingers in the food.
Having some fun by myself when Mommy and Aunties doing shopping

Mommy, where have you been? I am missing you.
Get some energy refill. Now I am ready to for the evening Christmas service.

A happy kid

Daddy and mommy are really thankful that Nathan is a happy kid. A courious little one who brings lots of joy to family and friends.

This little kid went to restaurant

Nathan went to dinner with daddy, mommy, and aunties at a Korean tofu house. Now he has lots of opinion on how he wants to eat and what he likes to eat. It is only a matter of time that one day daddy and mommy will be too embarrassing to dine out with him.

Pooh walking

Nathan started this strange walking style after we returned from Tahoe, it was several days later that mommy found out that he copied the "walking" from a pooh book.
After a lot practice Nathan has mastered the trick (as of Jan. 25, 2006)

This is the original Pooh walking on the book.

Tahoe trip - Day 4

Played at a pier.

Tahoe trip - Day 3

Everything changed dramatically after one night's snowing. Everything covered with white fresh clean snow.
We spent some time playing snow in front of the house, had lunch at home, then headed north. We drove about half hour to Incline Village, visited the beach near Hyatt, and had dinner in Hyatt.

Tahoe trip - day 1

The whole gang took a 4 day trip to Tahoe during thanksgiving holiday.
Day one, thanksgiving day, we left home around 11am, only 1 hour behind schedule. It took 6 hours on the road, including 1 hour stop for lunch. Everyone hit the road on thanksgiving day.
We arrived the vacation home just in time for the big "fire-pot" dinner. The pictures were out of focus because the camera was switched to manual focus.
The vacation home was very cozy and warm, actually too warm. It has 3 rooms, kitchen, living room, but only one bath room.

Tahoe trip - day 2

Nathan was working hard on his daily business. This is his "poo-poo" face

The second day, black Friday, was a raining day, we went to South Tahoe, leaving Rachel home for his project. We went to Ceasars for shopping, but was very disappointed. Totally different from Ceasars in L.V. We met Min and Hsui-Huei's family at a shopping plaza, when the rain turned into snow - the very first snow this year! Nathan was very excited, did not want to leave.
The snow continued and sky was turning dark as we left South Tahoe. It was fun to drive in the snow at first. After a while, we entered into a hill section, the road became covered with thicker snow, and the car in front slowed down a lot, leaving two tracks on the snow.
We started to worry when several cars stoped on the road, flashed their hazard lights. We stopped to ask what's going on, and a man said it's dangerous to continue, we better head back to South Tahoe. We stopped for several minutes, wondering if our Oddyssey could bring us home. At last another minivan passed us, we decided to follow it. The road now became very slippery, we could see ice started to form, like piles of robble on the road. We drove very carfully, stay on the tracks created by the van in front. It didn't take long before we arrived Tahoma, the little town where our temperary home was. But it took several turns before we finally found the correct way home, A Ju get off the car to look for direction several times. Everyone in the car prayed very hard, except Nathan that is. He slept soundly all the way home!
